About:
Linda Tilson Art to Wear
Linda began hand-sewing her doll clothes by age 7,
machine sewing at 9, and making her own and other's
clothing by junior high school. She began her
professional life with a degree in Clothing and Textile
Design from Texas Tech. University. Since then she has
followed her talents and creative ideas through many
endeavors including product design (she holds several
patents), Textile Design (many of her designs have been
commercially printed onto fabrics and paper products,)
clothing design (she owned and operated a small
sportswear factory and her designs have been sold
internationally) and presently fiber artist/silk painter
and designer of her one-of-a-kind wearable art.
Her blend of professional abilities from fabric creation
through design, pattern making and production of the
finished product gives her apparel a unique stamp.
For the past several years she and her husband, Morton
Chalfy, have produced her garments and sold them at
juried Art and Fine Craft Shows around Florida and New
York. They are regularly invited to the Fine Craft Shows
at Lincoln Center in NYC.
