Venice Island Purses is a new store in Burgundy Square, located at 235 W. Miami Avenue. We carry beautiful designer inspired purses, the MaggiB collection of purses and backpacks, and soy candles including the Pilgrim Candle line. We also have a variety of accessories including sunglasses, handmade jewelry, handmade fleece blankets and pillows and many other miscellaneous items. The store is owned by Tim Dougherty and he runs it with his children and former wife making it a true family owned business. Hours are currently 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, closed Sundays. Extended hours will begin this October. We also offer private purse parties in the evenings for offices or other groups who are unable to come in during the day.
